Dmytro Selin, creator of Tsukorok drone detector, joins Biostream effort
Biostream has welcomed Dmytro Selin, the creator of the Tsukorok drone detection system, as part of the broader effort to advance technologies that protect personnel in modern conflict environments.
Selin is known in Ukraine’s defence technology community as the developer of Tsukorok, one of the earliest portable drone detection devices deployed on the Ukrainian battlefield. Designed to identify the presence of hostile drones and warn nearby personnel, the system emerged during the early phases of the war as part of a wave of rapid frontline innovation driven by urgent operational needs.
The experience gained from developing and deploying battlefield technology in Ukraine brings a practical perspective to Biostream’s mission. The company is developing a wearable system that monitors vital signs, detects physiological distress through onboard processing, and sends alerts to nearby medics so that wounded soldiers can be located and treated more rapidly.
Selin joins the effort at a time when battlefield conditions are evolving quickly and the role of compact, field-deployable technologies is expanding. Systems that can detect threats, monitor the health of soldiers, and support rapid medical response are becoming increasingly important as warfare becomes more data-driven and technologically integrated.
By bringing together expertise from different areas of defence innovation, Biostream aims to accelerate the development of technologies that help ensure soldiers are not left unnoticed when something goes wrong.
